Example

- Spread (Brent − WTI) = 82 − 78 = $4/bbl
- Percent vs WTI = 4 ÷ 78 ≈ 5.13%

- Brent total = 82 × 5,000 = $410,000
- Difference = $20,000 (Brent higher)
