Crude Oil Price per Barrel to Total Cost Calculator (WTI / Brent)
Estimate total crude oil cost using WTI or Brent price per barrel, quantity (barrels), and an optional barrels-to-gallons conversion.
Calculate total crude oil cost using a benchmark price (WTI or Brent). You can override the price per barrel and also estimate cost per gallon using a conversion factor.
Benchmark
Selecting a benchmark sets a sensible default price, but you can edit it below.
Default: Brent ≈ $82.00/bbl (editable).
Enter how many barrels you want to price.
Standard crude oil conversion is 42 US gallons per barrel.
Benchmark: Brent
Total cost: $1230.00
15 barrels × $82.00 = $1230.00
Total gallons (estimate): 630.00 gal
Estimated cost per gallon: $1.9524/gal
Cost per gallon uses 42.0 gal/barrel. This is an estimate, not a retail fuel price.
How to use this crude oil price per barrel to total cost calculator (wti / brent)
- Choose a benchmark (WTI or Brent).
- Enter the price per barrel for your chosen benchmark (or override it).
- Enter quantity in barrels.
- Optionally convert barrels to gallons to see estimated cost per gallon.
Example
If Brent is $82.00/bbl and you price 15 barrels (42 gal/bbl):
- Total cost = 82.00 × 15 = $1,230.00
- Total gallons = 15 × 42 = 630 gal
- Cost per gallon ≈ 1,230.00 ÷ 630 ≈ $1.952/gal
