Estimate your next engine oil change due date and due mileage based on last change date/mileage, current mileage, and your target interval (miles and/or months).
Estimate your next oil change timing using mileage and time intervals. You can use mileage-only, time-only, or both (whichever comes first in real life).
Your current mileage/odometer reading.
Mileage when you last changed the oil.
Used only if you set a month-based interval.

Set 0 to ignore mileage-based schedule.
Set 0 to ignore time-based schedule.
Quick presets
These are common intervals, but always follow your vehicle manual.
Next due mileage: 35,000
Remaining miles: 1,800
Due date: 2026-04-01
Remaining days: 75
If you use both mileage and time intervals, many drivers follow whichever comes first. This tool shows both independently.
How to use this engine oil change interval calculator
- Enter your current odometer reading.
- Enter the mileage and date of your last oil change.
- Set your target interval (miles and/or months).
- Review next due mileage, remaining miles, due date, and remaining days.
Example
If last oil change was at 30,000 miles on 2025-10-01, current mileage is 33,200, interval is 5,000 miles and 6 months:
- Next due mileage = 30,000 + 5,000 = 35,000
- Remaining miles = 35,000 − 33,200 = 1,800
- Due date = 2025-10-01 + 6 months = 2026-04-01 (approx.)
